Any workers that have duties which may contaminate the air with dust, mist, vapour, gas or fumes such as:

• Cutting wood or stone
• Using a product containing volatile solvents
• Handling a dusty powder 
• Wearing stainless steel

Or where workers are exposed to low oxygen levels, such as confined spaces.

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will receive an Expedient certificate.

3 Years

• Candidates must provide their own mask to be fitted.
• All candidates must be clean shaven.

This course will ensure each person understands the risks and hazards of dusts at various stages of their working practices and that they follow the safe systems of wearing this protection.

Practical training and face fit test which consists of a sequence of light exercises.

When booking this course, candidates must inform us of exactly which make RPE they use at work. Once booked, they must bring that mask (or 2) with them for the fitting.

Candidates must be clean shaven.

All candidates must bring with them one of the following forms of ID:

• A valid passport – no more than 6 months out of date
• A valid UK photo driving license - no more than 6 months out of date
• A photographic employee ID card 
• A photographic ID card from an awarding body (e.g. IPAF, RTITB, NPORS)
