Complimentary hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day. We have a vending machine where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased.
We have a catering van which visits our premises and there are several other facilities close by where food and drinks can be purchased. A refrigerator and a microwave are available for use in our canteen.
We have free onsite parking where a Reverse Park Policy is in place. Please note it is mandatory for you to adhere to this policy if using our parking facilities. If our car park is full, we have use of the Jarrow Hall Coach Park as an overflow.
This unit is for those who work in a medium risk environment and includes preparing to work safely, entering and exiting medium risk confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools safely, following procedures and dealing with emergencies. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, entry into and exit from the confined space, maintaining communications and initiating and controlling emergency procedures.
On successful completion of this course, candidates will receive a City and Guilds certificate.
Pre-requisites: Those attending must hold a valid regulated (RQF) Confined Spaces (Medium Risk) certificate. Please note, we can accept an expired certificate where it has expired by no more than 1 month.
City & Guilds cannot accept any registrations for learners under 16 as these qualifications are not approved for under 16s.
The weight limit on our Harness is 136kg. Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns.
The aim of this unit is to reflect the national occupational standard for controlling entry and arrangements for working in a medium risk confined space environment. This unit covers both water and non-water industry areas. Water: this may include working with potable water, sewage treatment processes, drain and sewer cleaning operations, or where the operative is working in or near water, or where a confined space is subject to surface water flooding. Non-water: this may include pharmaceutical, petrochemical, asbestos removal, vehicle manufacture and servicing, aeronautical, construction, communications, power, utilities gas, electrical and mechanical engineering and some elements of work operations in mines, quarries and tunnelling. This unit is also for the entry controller/top person who controls entry and arrangements for medium risk confined spaces and works within them. It includes the duties of an entry controller, pre-entry procedures, preparing to work safely, using equipment and tools safely, entry into and exit from the medium risk confined space, maintaining communications, and initiating and following emergency arrangements.
Candidates must bring with them photographic ID such as an in date driving license or passport.
Those attending must hold a valid regulated (RQF) Confined Spaces (Medium Risk) certificate. Please note, we can accept an expired certificate where it has expired by no more than 1 month.
