Google Map of the VenueThis one day, yet informative course provides Learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural specific environment. Topics covered are: extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries and Lyme disease.
This qualification is designed to accompany an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification and has been specifically developed to meet the recommendations of the Forestry Commission First Aid at Work Policy.
This qualification is suitable for learners over the age of 16. It is delivered over 1 full day and assessed by a multiple choice exam and practical assessment.
Open courses are inclusive of tuition, certification and a course handbook. Free follow up support will also be available from your tutor.

We are situated just outside Sywell Aerodrome located on the edge of Sywell village in Northamptonshire, 4 miles from the centre of Wellingborough and 10 miles from the centre of Northampton. Sywell is no more than an hour away from Coventry, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge and can be reached either by the A43 Northampton to Kettering Road or from the A509 in Wellingborough. In either case, follow signs for Sywell Aerodrome. Once you reach the Aerodrome, please do not go through the main gate, as we are located outside of this and just to the left. The QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.
QA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF)

You must be 16 or over to complete this course.
Learners will undertake an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification with the additional module covering the following:
How to manage a casualty who is experiencing the effects of extreme heat or extreme cold
Managing catastrophic bleeding
Managing a casualty with crush injuries
Recognising and managing a casualty suffering Lyme disease
Recognising and managing a casualty with an Adder snake bite
There are two MCQ papers in addition to successful completion of practical assessments required in order to achieve this qualificaiton.
