Google Map of the VenueThis qualification will allow individuals to understand the importance of implementing a food safety management system, based on the Codex HACCP principles, in a Food Manufacturing environment. They will learn their role in ensuring the effective operation of the HACCP system and gain the knowledge to identify, control and monitor hazards at points critical to food safety within their business. They will also understand the importance of taking corrective action when critical limits are breached and become familiar with the documentation and records needed to support a HACCP system.
It is recommended that candidates have completed a Level 2 Award in Food Safety, or the equivalent, before looking to achieve this qualification.
This qualification is achieved by taking a one day classroom based course.

We are situated just outside Sywell Aerodrome located on the edge of Sywell village in Northamptonshire, 4 miles from the centre of Wellingborough and 10 miles from the centre of Northampton. Sywell is no more than an hour away from Coventry, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge and can be reached either by the A43 Northampton to Kettering Road or from the A509 in Wellingborough. In either case, follow signs for Sywell Aerodrome. Once you reach the Aerodrome, please do not go through the main gate, as we are located outside of this and just to the left. This qualification is aimed at individuals working in a food manufacturing environment and those who are preparing to work in the industry. The course will be especially useful for those involved in maintaining HACCP in a manufacturing environment, and for those who are or will be part of a HACCP team.
Level 2 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing (RQF).

It is recommended that learners already hold a Level 2 Award in Food Safety Manufacturing or equivalent and have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy/English or equivalent. This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 16+.

Benefits of a HACCP system Prerequisites for HACCP The 7 principles of HACCP The law relating to HACCP The implementation of HACCP Decision trees Monitoring forms Definitions
It is assessed by a multiple-choice examination, where the candidates must answer atleast 9 out of 15 questions correctly. The examination will take a maximum of 30 minutes to complete.
