Directions
We are situated just outside Sywell Aerodrome located on the edge of Sywell village in Northamptonshire, 4 miles from the centre of Wellingborough and 10 miles from the centre of Northampton. Sywell is no more than an hour away from Coventry, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge and can be reached either by the A43 Northampton to Kettering Road or from the A509 in Wellingborough. In either case, follow signs for Sywell Aerodrome. Once you reach the Aerodrome, please do not go through the main gate, as we are located outside of this and just to the left. Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at individuals who work in environments where legionella growth is a risk. It aims to raise awareness to prevent waterborne disease caused by legionella bacteria, specifically the risks associated with hot and cold water systems.
How long will it take?
To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 8 hours of learning.
Topics covered
These include the health risks associated with legionella bacteria, how legislation and codes of practice can support the management of legionella bacteria, how to control the risks of legionella bacteria, the risks associated with legionella bacteria in hot and cold water systems and how to control these risks.
