Google Map of the VenueWe are pleased to offer the HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF).
This new QCF qualification is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for ​the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Topics covered include: the roles ​and responsibilities of the First Aider; assessing an incident, recognising signs ​and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries ​and anaphylaxis. The qualification is assessed via on-going oral questioning and practical demonstration.
All successful students will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification which is valid for a period of 3 years.
This qualification is suitable for learners over the age of 16. It is delivered over 3 days and assessed by oral questioning and practical assessment.
Open courses are inclusive of tuition, certification and a course handbook. Free follow up support will also be available from your tutor.

We are situated just outside Sywell Aerodrome located on the edge of Sywell village in Northamptonshire, 4 miles from the centre of Wellingborough and 10 miles from the centre of Northampton. Sywell is no more than an hour away from Coventry, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge and can be reached either by the A43 Northampton to Kettering Road or from the A509 in Wellingborough. In either case, follow signs for Sywell Aerodrome. Once you reach the Aerodrome, please do not go through the main gate, as we are located outside of this and just to the left. This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

In order to register on to this qualification, learners are required to meet the following entry requirements: • 16 years of age or above • It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English and maths.
