Google Map of the VenueWe are pleased to offer the HABC Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work as an accredited qualification. The course will familiarise students with the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, including assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, and assisting a casualty who ​is suffering from injury and illness. Students will learn and be assessed on their practical ability to deal with casualties who have ​stopped breathing, are unconscious, are bleeding and suffering from shock.
The minimum contact time for the course is 6 hours. Candidates are assessed by ongoing practical assessment by the Tutor throughout ​the course. All successful students will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along
​with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
Our 1 day course fully complies with the HSE Minimum Training Standard for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
This qualification is suitable for learners over the age of 16. It is assessed by oral questioning and practical assessment.
Open courses are inclusive of tuition, certification and a course handbook. Free follow up support will also be available from your tutor.

We are situated just outside Sywell Aerodrome located on the edge of Sywell village in Northamptonshire, 4 miles from the centre of Wellingborough and 10 miles from the centre of Northampton. Sywell is no more than an hour away from Coventry, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Cambridge and can be reached either by the A43 Northampton to Kettering Road or from the A509 in Wellingborough. In either case, follow signs for Sywell Aerodrome. Once you reach the Aerodrome, please do not go through the main gate, as we are located outside of this and just to the left. This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.

In order to register on to this qualification, learners are required to meet the following entry requirements: • 16 years of age or above • It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English and maths.
These include the role and responsibilities of a first aider, being able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally, being able to manage a casualty with external bleeding and being able to manage a casualty with a minor injury.
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning.
