Paediatric First Aid Training is mandatory for anyone working within an early year’s setting, 5 years old or below. The course consists of 1 day online learning, followed by one practical day at our Simulation Centre. Please note, that if the online theory isn't completed prior to the practical day, you will not be allowed to complete the course. After all parents are leaving their most treasured possession in your care. By attending a Paediatric First Aid Blended course you will be better prepared for any emergency that may arise. Our team of emergency and training professionals will guide you through the training and help you build confidence.                  

This 2 day Blended course is valid for 3 years and will cover:                                                                                                                                

Roles and responsibilities of a first aider                                                                     

First aid kit information and equipment                                                                           

Aims and priorities of first aid                                                                                                

Primary assessment and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation for an adult, child and infant casualty including the use of a defibrillator                                         

The recovery position                                                                                        

Choking                                                                                                                                

Minor, major bleeding and shock                                                                                    

Seizures                                                                                                                            

Childhood and other medical conditions                                                                       

This qualification is a mandatory requirement set out by OFSTED and the EYFS Framework for those working in early years care.  Its full title is the new Qualsafe Award Level 3 in Paediatric First Aid.
The HSE do 'strongly recommend' Resusitation Annual Refresher Training.
