This course is suitable for everyone! It’s designed for anyone in the health and social care industry that may be required to use equipment and techniques to safely transport people around the home or working environment. The main aim of the course is to reduce the risk of injury to the handler and the patient. It will also consist of an introduction to basic lifting and handling techniques, equipment, risk assessment and manual handling tasks. 
This course has a further 3 hours of additional practical application and assessment. 
Students will have to declare themselves fit at the beginning of the course. 

In Safe Hands Safe Moving and Handling of People certificate

This qualification is valid for 3 years. It is best practice to also attend annual refreshers

There are no prerequisites for this course.

You will leave our course feeling confident in your new skills, and well equipped should you ever need to use them
