The Blended First Aid at Work course is the highest level of first aid training available for the workplace. The course consists of 1 day of online learning, followed by two practical days at our Simulation Centre. Please note, that if the online theory isn't completed prior to the practical days, you will not be allowed to attend. This course is far more comprehensive than the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course and is suitable for any working environment. We run these courses regularly at our Simulation Centre or it can be held onsite at your place of work for a more bespoke training experience.This course is designed to meet the first aid requirements of a high risk working environment such as factories, food processing plants, hotels, leisure facilities, engineering environments etc. The qualification will allow you be to be a nominated first aider in your workplace.                                                                                  

This course is valid for 3 years and will cover:                                                                              

Roles and responsibilities of a first aider                                                                                  

First aid kit information and equipment                                                                                      

Aims and priorities of first aid                                                                                                  

Primary assessment and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation for the adult casualty Including the use of a Defibrillator                                                                    

Secondary assessment                                                                                                                        

The recovery position                                                                                                            

Choking                                                                                                                                    

Suspected spinal injuries                                                                                                          

Minor, major bleeding and shock                                                                                              

Burns,head injuries, broken bones, crush and eye injuries                                                                                                                                          

Seizures                                                                                                                                              

Common medical complaints                                                                                                                          

The qualification is the Level 3 OFQUAL First Aid at Work.                                                              

The HSE strongly recommend annual refresher training.                                              

When the qualification is due for renewal it is possible to attend a 2 day re-qualification course allowing you to continue as a first aider (following successful completion of assessments).

Materials Required

You will receive an online learning link direct from the Awarding Body, Qualsafe approx. one week prior to the face to face sessions at the centre. This must be completed before attending days 2 and 3. Please check your 'junk/spam' folder just in case. It would also be beneficial to check you can access the learning as soon as possible, even if you don't complete the learning straight away, as this will allow plenty of time to rectify any issues should they arise.

100% attendance required

Please bring photographic identification with you such as a driving licence or passport.
